So my feet? Totally killing me. We did the geek tour of Moncton today. :p It's a tradition to go to Moncton and geek out a couple weeks after the con. This year, with con being IN Moncton, we enjoyed being there with no SCHEDULES. In previous years, we all took the bus down, but this year Bill rented a van for us to drive down in. We started off at Champlain Place/Chapters and scattered from there. Vicki, Ryan and I hit Comic Hunter, Mad City Comics and Gamezilla. And a pet store to get a new collar for Elphaba. :p

I spent a LITTLE more than I meant to, but at least most of it was stuff I was planning to pick up in the near future. The haul/damage:

- Two new tops plus two tank tops to wear under low cut tops (not something I planned on buying, but a good price overall)
- Kingdom Hearts (One of the first games I wanted for my new PS2. I can borrow the Final Fantasy games from Ryan. :p)
- Lego Star Wars (I played it a little bit on my brother's Xbox and it was fun, so I picked it up for PS2. :p)
- Exile (New Star Wars book. Definitely a planned expense because it's an AARON ALLSTON book and if anyone can fix Legacy, it's him!)
- Fables: Arabian Nights (and days) (This is the infamous volume seven I ordered from Hobbyton in JULY. Yeah, they were never going to get it in. :p)
- Full Moon o Sagashite volume 2
- Skip Beat! volume 1 (the preview in Shojo Beat looked interesting
- Tsubasa volume 7
- Good Witch of the West volume 1 (Gamezilla had a buy three manga get one free sale on, and it looked like it might be cute. :p)

The sushi place we usually go to on this trip seems to be closed, so we went to a Chinese buffet instead. It was soooooooooo good. The ultimate sign of good food: Our group actually stopped talking because we were too busy EATING. :p

So far I've managed to read the Fables, which was SO SHINY. Frau Totenkinder remains SO awesome while KNITTING! And oh DEAR Beauty. There is going to be an EXPLOSION between her and Beast. And the story about the two wooden people was so CUTE and so WIBBLY and SAD too!

The hardest part will be holding out on buying volume eight. I might order it when the seventh Runaways digest comes out in May. And of course, I want more Lucifer.

I am addicted to North American comics and it's ALL NEIL GAIMAN'S FAULT!

She's VERY right. Im STILL working on the gummi ship stuff for KH2 on Kits copy. Its very hard...and consumes my soul greatly.

The gummi ship got so much cooler in Kh2. Unfortunately, they put all of the suck into the magic system.

But it's okay, because I have reaction commands. The 1000 heartless battle was the funnest thing EVER. I keep a seperate save file for it just so I can go slaughter heartless when I have a bad day.

Then when the inevitable Sandman movie comes out, he'll start building subdivisions. Possibly with themed ones. Sandman themed ones.

BTW: I couldn't get that soundtrack to play. What the heck is a RAR file and what application do I use to play it? It keeps telling me I don't have the correct one.

The Sandman movie has been stuck in Production Hell for over a decade now. They eventually came to the conclusion that any script Gaiman liked, the studio hated and vice versa. :p

The more accurate description would be there were plans for a Sandman movie a decade ago. :p It's never going to actually happen due to the aforementioned script problems. :p

Omigosh, Summer Glau can play Delirium! We can once more giggle to lines such as "I can kill you with my brain."

*points to icon* She SO COULD. Del would be a hard role to play, but Summer Glau would be FANTASTIC, because it's the same reasons River would be hard.

I can so picture her doing the "No, that's not it at all. the things we do create ECHOES. S'pose, f'rinstance that you stopped on a street corner to look a a spectacular bolt of lightning- ZAP! Funny story that, actually. It USED to be one of her brothers she really leaned on to help her keep everything together. He walked out on the family and she's been getting steadily worse ever since. My favourite arc is the one where she persuades Dream to help her look for Destruction. Destruction asked the doggie to look after Del.

Didn't Delirium used to be Delight? Did it ever say why she changed?

Yep, the dog's name is Barnabas.

And yeah, Delirium used to be Delight. Neil Gaiman has never explicitly told us WHY the change occurs, because he's MEAN. My theory is that she knew too much about the nature of the universe and it drove her mad.

I'm likening it to the non revelation of HRG's first name in Heroes. They're doing it on purpose now. They actually had one of the characters ALMOST say it, only to stop and start scolding the dog in the middle of it.

What was her thought process behind this theory? Did she have a valid argument in favor of it?

Or was it like the "Peter=Sylar OMG!" theories that pop up in the Heroes fandom? Despite the fact that they're played by two different actors and have appeared onscreen together.

I think it went something like "Hey, are there male Companions? OMG, Book used to be one! He was a special Companion to high ranking Alliance officials and that's why they trust him!"

Lol. Would high ranking Alliance officials really TRUST a Companion, though? Everyone seems to regard Companions as just a skosh bit sneaky and manipulative. Or maybe it's just the Inara/Saffron snipping that gave me that idea.
