I really hope they salt the sidewalk in front of the chem building tomorrow. I fell down pretty thoroughly. It hurt. :p

Help room is very boring when almost the entire class is writing a different exam. I had assumed it was busy, so I only had one paper with me. I have now read said paper five times. And I'm still not sure what a gyroidal channel is.

I did however misread it as "graymold salve" at one point. I think I've been playing too much Exile/Avernum. :p

I'm now a good chunk into season two of BSG. Again, what took me so long?

I continue to absolutely adore Olive on Pushing Daisies, incidentally. :p

You'd think the undergrads have exams coming up or something. The help room was absolutely hopping. At least it wasn't boring. THough there was the awkward moment of "... I haven't done a Fischer Projection since first year because I'm not a sugar chemist..." Luckily the first year TA stepped in to answer the question about stereochemistry in Fischer projections.

Yeah, I know, you're all making the face. A Fischer projection is a weird way of portraying molecules. That is basically only used in sugar chemistry. Which I don't do. :p

Also, I absolutely adore Olive on Pushing Daisies. She is marvelous.

John Barrowman's new CD is marvelous. He sings a song from CHESS!

WEll, it looks like Pushing Daisies has now officially been cancelled. Not that it's a big surprise with how the ratings have been and all the cancellation buzz there's been in the past month. I suppose I should be upset, but really, I saw it coming. From the get go. They got 22 episodes, which is, oh, eighteen more than I ever expected.

They don't make tv for people like me. Not in America anyway, not for long. I'm just not the target audience.

It's been fun, Pushing Daisies. I'll miss you after the last episode airs.

Oh Olive. How are you so wonderful? TOday's episode of Pushing Daisies was absolutely MARVELOUS. Definitely the best episode of the season so far.

Also, stupid laundry room closing. I meant to grab my laundry after Pushing Daisies, but got so wrapped up in the squee that I forgot. And now my laundry is locked in, so I have to grab it at eight tomorrow morning.

First off, oh my GOD, Terry Pratchett, it's so distressing. And of all the diseases...

Onto the cheerier topic of Pushing Daisies!

And spoilers )

The conversation thingies will probably be written after my final on Saturday is over. Some of them will be interesting to write since I've never written the fandom before. :p

My sister amuses me. She's disappointed that the actor who plays Jack is gay... because she was hoping he was a straight man comfortable enough in his sexuality to play a pansexual. Most straight women are sad he's gay because his hot. :p (Though of course in a highly generic way! Silly Mr Generichead. :p)

Oh, I went there. :p

Considering that it costs $1.50 for a cycle on the dryer, would it be so much to ask that it actually get the clothes some SEMBLANCE of dry? And they provide the extra "quarter" trick on the WASHERS, but not the dryers. Don't they know you need the extended cycle to DRY things, not wash them? :p

Also, flying around Christmas SUCKS. A flight from London to Moncton on December 12 is $120. Unfortunately, we're going on December 19th, when it's $358. But of course, driving is kinda NOT an option. If I'm taking that much time off work, I'd rather not spend almost a week in the CAR. :p And taking the train is only about $20 cheaper... and that's if we sit up for the 26 hour trip. :p So expensive plane tickets it is. :p Which I had to overpay my credit card bill in order to be able to buy, because my credit limit SUCKS. :p

Now spoilery tv babble!
