Hi, I'm not dead. My modem, on the other hand, has been dead since Saturday. It got blown out in a power failure (despite being plugged in to a surge protector, stupid thing) and stupid Rogers won't come deal with the problem until Tuesday. Because clearly no one's internet ever breaks on the weekend. Grah. Totally not impressed with situation. Just want internet back. Had to reinstall Seasons due to a system restore, and then I couldn't get the patch, so my stupid Sim babies won't stop screaming. Still looking for an apartment in London. Can't look for an apartment without internet. Not a happy Ewok.

My computer died while plugged into a surge protector, too, last year. I don't trust those things anymore and unplug them during storms. (it also killed our oven, the whole thing was very weird).

My theory is to go to battery power on my laptop. THough that doesn't help the modem, and of course unplugging the modem causes PROBLEMS. :p I'm annoyed that tech support has some sort of delusions of not being customer service and therefore getting weekends off. I wants my internet! (Especially since Ryan has INTERNET EXPLORER. :p)

It was seriously the weirdest fic of all time. I mean, it was like, actual crack. I made another haiku to describe my confusion, and I think it works pretty well:

CTHULHU WHAT WHAT"

In the original comment over IM, there were about eleventy more WHATs.

Oh, yes. The lesbian of doom who was attached to Julia Thorne at the time took her to INNSMOUTH and then they had some kind of ritual orgy on an altar and there was chanting and a Deep One and my entire brain exploded.

I think it was the Rasputin chick, but I could be wrong, the LODs were Suetastic - no, it was that lady whose name was simultaneously Kate and Selene - and she had communed with the Deep Ones or something and had this pendant thing she wore sometimes that was like, made of evil. And she explains the entire Cthulhu mythos IN THE TEXT and like, there was no Lovecraft credit or warning or anything ever! It just said it was an Alias/Bourne What Have You crossover.

The paragraphs describing the characters were always funny because they used run-on sentences and were particularly cruel to poor Weiss. Well, to be fair, the entire fic was. :-p

I've been watching Doctor Who season 3 and wanting to squee about the awesomness that is Martha. ANd my continued love for Ten. And how The Shakespeare Code is one of the coolest episodes EVAH with it's HP references. :p And that Human Nature is SUCH a great episode. :p

Also, my Sims have been being amusing and that needs to be shared. :p

Ah, I wasn't sure when exactly it started, since Mom was here and buying me stuff so I was a bit distracted.

Is Martha the new companion person? I've seen a few glimpses of the show while channel surfing so I know that the old girl is gone ;_;

I'm still excited that I finally got my NANA Sims out of university so now the real fun can begin.

Also, I'm finally looking at the Desire fic you beta-ed, been busy and uh...forgot about it for awhile XD Do you have ANY ideas for a title? I suck at titles unless they come to me right away.

Yeah, Rose got stuck in a parallel universe. :p Martha is the new companion. She's in her last year of med school and is super cool. :p

University is a pain. It's a lot easier to deal with if you cheat to only play the second semester of every year, that's been my latest plan. :p

Yeah, Rose and the Doctor weren't impressed with the situation. :p Rose's mom got married to Rose's dad from the parallel universe (where he and Parallel Jackie never had children and Parallel Jackie had died earlier in the season) and they were having a baby.
