Apparently, Yoda is writing for Inorganic Chemistry. The article I'm reading right now includes this gem:

To our knowledge, known is only one class of such compounds

Is this what they mean by the whole scientists don't know how to write thing? :p

Oh, German's a riot. :D The Yoda-syntax thing, though? It isn't just me that thinks so; my teacher showed us a little article about syntax, and there was a sidebar that said which languages have syntax like Yoda's. Japanese is only a partial match; verb-object-subject occurs with slightly lower frequency than subject-object-verb, Yoda's being the former. I think. I'm trying to think of examples, and his verb clauses are all split so it's hard. ^_^'> Anyway, whether or not I just made an idiot of myself, there is one language that seems to be an exact syntactic match, but I can't remember what it was. Maybe something African, or possibly Australian Aborigine - I really can't remember, and it's too bad, because it was interesting! (I can't imagine why I didn't write it down...)
