Is made up of such SLACKERS
Aug. 4th, 2006 12:59 pmWe are SO the slackingest group at this school. Yesterday we watched Forty Year Old Virgin in the morning. It was amusing by times but mostly, well, exactly what you'd expect of such a film. We thought the boys were kidding when they first proposed this idea, but they weren't. I wasn't planning to do anything except get annoyed with journals until the afternoon anyway, so it wasn't so bad. Today we randomly went down to the Bridgestreet Cafe because we don't know the meaning of WORK. I had a lovely chocolate mint tea. There's talk of playing some sort of game in the Cragg this afternoon, though there's a couple things I'd like to set up first. (I'm waiting while something filters right now :p) I have a touch of headache right now, which is annoying. I'm just kinda dying in my chair. It seems like the thing to do.
Yesterday we went out to Pizza Delight with Lindsay and Bill, which was fun. And then the King of Men fixed our router and all was well in the world. VIcki and I watched The Libertine, which was certainly an interesting film.
Going home in like four hours, yay. I've been promised my bed while I'm there, which will be a nice change. :p
Oh, and there's going to be more mad hiring in the department because Irma (the technician in charge of Intro Chem labs) isn't coming back. It was highly amusing moment when Duffy told Dr. Barclay (a retired professor who still has a research group here... and the building named after him :p). He said in this very calm, matter of fact voice "Oh bloody hell." It was just amusing, this little old man calmly saying that. :p
