General auditions today. My feet hurt SO MUCH right now. McConell Hall is NOT meant for dancing barefoot. The hardest line to sing goes with the hardest steps to dance, but it's fun. We did tableaus, and our group had "At the wedding". We started out with a regular happy wedding, but then we couldn't find a good place to put a congregation, so we tried to think of other things you see at weddings. I said "I'll hold the shotgun to the groom!" and it was all down(or up)hill from there. :p
I have an individual audition tomorrow, since we get to cold read instead of preparing a monologue. I hate trying to pick a monologue, so this is exciting. I'm trying to decide between I Dreamed a Dream and Seasons of Love for the vocal part. I can sing them both in my sleep, hence their being candidates. :p Hopefully I decide before the actual audition. :p

Date: 2005-09-18 07:27 pm (UTC)I Dreamed a Dream was one of my favorite choir songs because it WAS in my range and the alto line was GOOD. (Unlike stupid Angel which had more low E's than all the other notes put together :p)

Date: 2005-09-18 07:28 pm (UTC)We just show up and audition and then the prod team decides where we belong. I kinda want a small role so I can still keep up in my classes first semester. :p

Date: 2005-09-26 02:42 am (UTC)We had fun before we GOT our prop baby. We were using a bright red blanket, and when it got passed around, it would sometimes come unfolded. Prompting cries of "MY BABY!!" :p
