Had fun at the party last night. Everyone was really excited to see me walk in, it was great. I hung out with a bunch of the MASSIEs for a while, which is always fun. They all love Canada and are sad to be leaving. I shook my head in wonder as Greg and Kyle discussed MATH. As in, Kyle was saying "Give me any integral!" and someone was responding with "One of sinx minus cotx!" and he was working it out orally. There are no words.

After the party, we headed out to the pub. There was basically no one there who wasn't from our party, so we got to rule the dance floor. Greg was pretty plastered, so I had to stay with him to make sure he had adult supervision at all times. :p Didn't want him to do anything STUPID after all.

Random observation about dancing: GIrls and girls will touch when they dance together, holding hands the entire time, spinning at random. Girls and guys will do the same thing. Guys and guys will NOT touch when they dance together, unless it's a high five. It's actually possible for a pair of girls to get in BETWEEN to guys who are dancing together.

See, this is why the rabid-yaoi-fangirls find it so easy to read slash into -everything-. Straight guys, not dancing with a girl must be at least 5 feet from the nearest other guy not dancing with girl, else he risks catching 'teh gay'. Thus when rabid-yaoi-fangirl sees to guys make eye contact while dancing 4.5 feet from each other, OMG it's OBVIOUS they're having CRAZY MONKEY SEX whenever no one's looking!
(much like the table that is an elephant, but only when no one's looking)

also "One of sinx minus cotx!" and he was working it out orally."

The whole guys-not-touching-guys thing comes from Western society's bizarre obsession with this weird "macho" image that all "real" men are supposed to posess. For all the fuss that's made over the modern mass media creating stereotypical views of women, they do the same thing to men. Two men touching? OMG, must be gay. Two men expressing emotion, especially to each other? Something's wrong there. But for women? Well, I guess since we're the 'gentler' sex, it's not as taboo for us.

As I've said many times before; Western society can kiss my ass. Since I don't disappear when I turn sideways, I imagine it can find it easily enough.

Yes it does: the idea that we might be gay is enough to short our brains, even if we're not homophobes. Just the thought of being within five feet of another dude while dancing is enough to give me the shivers, and not in a good way.

Your icon makes me snicker in a manner as mature and dignified as a drunken frat boy.
