I now have half the hair I did on Thursday. Before/After pictures coming once I get them from Diane. :p As soon as I said the length I wanted, it was instantly "SNIP SNIP SNIP, NO turning back!" I LOVE the new style though. SO much less hassle, and it looks cute. Had a blast at the party and pub afterwards too.

Gwenna came to visit me this weekend. She finally got to see Pretear in ORDER. She says that episodes 8-10 make everything make a lot more sense. Fancy that, eh? :p I took her on a tour of campus, because that's just what is DONE with girls going into grade twelve. It was also a great excuse to go to Sassy's for soft serve. Tried peach this time. Mmmmmm.

Actually made it to church for the new icky 9 AM mass. Our new priest seems to do short homilies, at any rate...

We played Sims 2 a lot. Mayune and Mawata are now moved out into their own places. Goh and Mawata are madly in love, but they have to wait until that house is less full so she won't make the lag UNBEARABLE. Sasame is still in love with Hayate, and he got Kei to forgive him and now THEY'RE in love too. He's also crushing on Remington, the maid. Sassy is a busy guy. It takes careful juggling. :p

I have to get around to getting Vol.3.... I guess I can live without Vol.2, but I want to complete the series so mabye I'll try to get both [I have Vol.1+4... the danger of buying clearanced anime is missing big chunks of series sometimes :)]

Amen to that :) I got em for about 7-ish dollars each. My local WalMart had a 8.66 DVD section, and anime tends to pop uip there alot, like 3 volumes of Gatekeepers, all of which happened to be the ones with the Plot :) And I finally found another volume of Neia Under 7! [I got Vol.4 first. I know, it's wierd]. It also helped me finish Lain. I also found a Slayers Next Boxset for 24 bucks at the one in Ahmerst. You should keep an eye out if you're ever in one [heck, keep an eyeout EVERYWHERE. Zellers had 2.99 Nadesico VHS one day]. I hope I can find good stuff in Halifax.... I think I have some kind of cheap anime radar, which makes me buy lots of anime, and spend lots, but prevents me from spending the CRAZY amounts of money it would take to get stuff new all the time. In all honesty, the majority of my VHSes cost under 3 dollars, and DVD's under 10. Though stopping using Ebay puts and end to some of that [last deal wasn't a total bad thing, but getting a broken used Escaflowne movie DVD made me wary]

There's lots of cheesy horror, though. Much of which has come home with me...*coughs*

The one at Champlain Place had the same setup as the one here in Miramichi when I went into it last. I got Assemble Insert, and random volumes of Nadia and Argento Soma. Everythingelse they had was the same as here, so I imagine they have identical dvd's to what we have now [Gatekeepers, some Lain, a volume of Chobits etc] The one out by Old Navy/Orthodontist/Maple doesn't have em.

There's also a "2 for 5 dollar" bin that's messy as heck, but had Medabotsand Robotech DVD's in it. Slayers was only at the one in Ahmerst, and was the only anime they had. Though all 4 Walmarts had copies of ADV's new Gatchaman DVD's at full price [18 bucks].

Our Walmart has FMA dvds for about half of what they sell for at the local Suncoast. I've also found a few Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha dvds.

I'd die if they ever had Twelve Kingdoms. I'm missing the last three dvds of the series and no one has volume 8. TK is one of those series where you can't skip a single episode or you're left going "Whaa...? Who the heck is that guy? Why is she with him now? I thought she was with the other guy!"

TK is not an anime you can watch in random order. It's got a plot line like a five year old with ADD. First couple of episodes follow a single, fairly straight forward storyline. Then it skips to a flashback. Then it jumps ahead a few years. Then it returns to the original storyline for a few more episodes. Then it does another flashback about some random character that has never appeared in the series before. Then they all coalesce into the original plot line and you're like "OH! I GET IT NOW!"

Then they do another stupid flashback instead of telling you what happened to Taiki. Grrrr.

It's so worth watching...in order.

The music is beautiful. Sounds kind of medieval with an asian influence. I love it.

Yeah.

Unfortunately, the CD covers are in Japanese and my computer doesn't like kanji, so it spazzes out and only shows me little squares. There are about eight cds, so I don't know which ones to order to get the songs I like.

I have decided to solve this by buying all of them.

I think it's a pretty good solution.

Most of the best solutions are expensive.
