QotD: "I am a chemistry pimp."- my ever eloquent boss :p

My boss thinks I'm crazy. APparently, they've never had anyone name their compounds before. Or at least, no one name them things like "Bob" and "Murphy". We finally got a good melting point on Bob, so we're more or less done with that one now. Murphy continues to live up to his name. Ethanol and ether should NOT be this hard to rotovap off. :p D*mn Murphy, why does it have to follow that stupid Law?

I need to do dishes more often. My dish drying rack just isn't BIG enough. :p

I got introduced as "Very young" to one of the candidates for the prof position in the department. Thanks Dr. Duffy. I'm SO much younger than everyone else who gets to use the NMR machine. :p

I had to present today. My art skills were mocked. I giggled through most of the presentation. I don't like presenting. :p We also got to hear a talk by that prof candidate. Everyone was drifting off to sleep. :p I choose to blame the fact that I was running late and the only seat left was next to Dr. Langler. He must have an aura of boring or something. We get to hear from another candidate on Thursday. Maybe it'll be better. And maybe I won't get introduced to THAT one as "very young". :p
