Hey look, I finally uploaded my Polaris pictures!

It's Zoidberg!

AMy and the Raggedy Doctor.

Look! A poorly lit picture of Kai Owen!
Han. Shooting first.

I like that the built the whole Falcon and then added the rest of the scene for good measure!

Galactica FTW!

Steampunk K-9! So cute!

I'm not sure what this scene is from, but it's awesome.

WALL-E! So cute!

Marshmallow adipose! Also cute!

Sailor Senshi!

I sure hope Vader had some sort of cooling unit in there, or he must have been dying.

Someone commented on the hilarity of Death taking a picture of Darth Vader and asked if I would get in the picture.

Death with the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies ladies. It was too hot for them to wear the bits of the costumes that were actually bloody.

Ryan as Ryutaros.

I wanted a picture of the back of my dress since I hit my thumb with a hammer a dozen times making it. :p

Arthur Dent. Apparently people wouldn't recognize him and then he would hold up his towel and everyone would go "OH!". He even has the Guide!

Super blurry poorly lit Mark Sheppard!

White Mage costume + White Mage chocobo plushie! You can't see it, but I'm totally wearing the pajama pants I made from the leftover fabric from the cloak. :p

Nope, it was pure coincidence! I think I ran into him at the Geek Off.

Date: 2010-09-17 04:26 am (UTC)The back of your dress is super pretty (as is the front :P ), but I have to ask what may be a stupid question: what were you hammering? Are those brads holding the braided part down? If so, please tell me it's lined so the brads weren't scratching you. [face_worried]

Date: 2010-09-17 04:41 am (UTC)I was using the hammer to set the eyelets that the ribbon runs through. And the dress fabric completely meets under the strips with the eyelets so there's no scratching at all.

Date: 2010-09-17 03:11 pm (UTC)Hammers are amazingly useful things. It's usually pretty fun when sewing involves a hammer, but those eyelets are so small and the satin was so hard to set them in (it was only holding because it was interfaced) that I kept slipping and hitting my thumb instead.

Date: 2010-09-17 05:17 am (UTC)No, that's a lie. I love this post. It looks like an awesome time, and seriously, your costumes! (HOW did you manage to hit yourself with a hammer WHILE SEWING, pray tell??) Just. Mark Sheppard. I know you understand. :P

Date: 2010-09-17 06:29 pm (UTC)Thanks! It was a brilliant bit of deciding to make it the week before I moved possibly to avoid packing. :p
