Apr. 25th, 2005 10:49 amMy birthday was great fun. After my driving lesson, Sam and Doug stopped by to give me chocolate. We had cake (mmmmmm, lemon cake), then I got presents from the rest of my family. Daddy gave me Going Postal, BJ gave me a pile of stuff I'd watched my mother buy at the dollar store today for the house (We have a broom now! :P), Gwen gave me Carpe Jugulum and mom gave me a dish drying rack, measuring cups, Tupperware (which I WILL manage to break :p) and pots. Kitchenware is FAR too exciting. THen Kate came over and we played The Sims 2. We made Pretear Sims, but the game crashed right as we finished. The highlight was when we created Shin as a toddler, Hayate wound up randomly holding him and not being impressed at all. We started building their house after that, because we didn't feel like remaking them. We made the house WAY too big because I was zoomed out farther than I thought. :P This is the kind of family where cheatage occurs because the story overrules gameplay. I recreated the Tanrin family (my test family from the first Sims) to play honestly. :p
Sunday I was randomly driving around Riverview. Sam was supposed to be coming over at two, so we were heading back. The entire time, this red car was following us. Only when we got to the house did we realize it was Sam and Doug. :p We watched most of Ewoks: Caravan of Courage. The Ewoks were very cute. We laughed at the stupid boy and all the random Earth animals. (Llamas, chickens, ponies, owls and FERRETS :p) Then Sam and I decided it would be fun to make Doug watch Pretear. Episodes five to seven, because that's what I had. He tried to play his Gameboy and therfore lost his option to choose subbed or dubbed. Because Sam and I REALLY wanted subbed.
After that, my family went out to Steve's Diner. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, milkshake. The portions there are HUGE, I'm glad I didn't order fries. :p Then I went home and remade all the Pretear Sims. It ran much better with every single background task shut off. This time, Sasame wound up randomly holding Shin before Shin was made Goh's kid, so it made a bit more sense. Expect picture spam when I actually finish their house of DOOM. :p After that, I had my night driving lesson. Yay parallel parking in the dark. I got back just in time for Desperate Housewives. It was a clip show, so I actually figured out what the hell is going on. Wow, the Dana thing has gotten interesting.
Failed my driving test for switching to the left hand turn lane I always forget exists too late and driving too slowly. It's annoying knowing I probably COULD have passed if I could have taken it at the end of the week, but they've decided not to test the rest of the week. I can retake in a week, but in a week I'll be in Sackville, so that's not going to work. And of course, I'll probably have to use OUR car to retake it. I don't want to parallel park a station wagon. The worst part is that I know my sister is just going to LORD this over me.
Oh well.
