There was a paper in Science today where the titles on the chart were in COMIC SANS. Science (along with Nature) is THE most prestigious science journal going. And the chart titles were in COMIC FRAKKING SANS.

I weep, people. WEEP!

I WANT THAT FONT TO DIE! DIE SO HARD IT RIPPLES BACK THROUGH TIME AND ELIMINATES ITSELF!

As part of cataloguing books, I have to flip through them, and I always cringe at how academic texts always have horrific fonts and highly pixelated, low-res images. It happens way more then you'd think.

My favorite was some charts a guy [who probably has a doctorate, or at least a masters] drew with ball point pen, pencil crayon and high lighters with his own partly legible handwriting, and put in full colour into his expensive textbook.

Production values are apparently not covered at some schools.

Oh, I know! Comic Sans need to be abolished.

There is a (new) restaurant near RIT that uses Comic Sans for their big neon sign. I'm going to take a picture of it next time I see it... it drives me and my graphic designing sister insane. :-p
