She was hoping that some of the purple prose in a certain RP thread wasn't really there. But it was. :p

Nearly every single time I look at SW fanfic these days, most of it is purple prose and I wish it wasn't really there. But it is. And it's the most popular stuff on the boards. This depresses me muchly, but it won't go away.

Although I am suddenly struck with the urge to write a vignette where Luke or Mara speaks purple prose because they're rip-roaring drunk. :D Of course, if I posted it on the JC, someone would probably claim I was baiting and get the mods to slap my wrists like they did for LP's brilliant MMM parody vig, but that's what LJ is for. I must go ponder this now. :D

My friends and I keep trying to read the thread in question and coming to the conclusion that our threads are way better and why are we doing this to ourselves, most of our characters don't even KNOW the pair in question. ;p
