I read the sparkling scene of Twilight last night.

Oh. My. God.

I had heard about it, but it did not prepare me. The words sparkled, diamond, scintillating, incandescent and glittered all in a single paragraph!

Somewhere, a thesaurus is having a long chat with its therapist.

I tried to read it out to Ryan but I kept losing it.

SPARKLES!

Ugh. Frankly, I am more than a little frightened to ever read that book cover-to-cover.

Also, Dr. Horrible ♥!

OH GOD, THE PREFACE.

You I love. <3 I feel much less bad about the lame that is my novel now.

It. It reads like fanfic.

It reads like a MARY SUE.

HELP. The one turn of phrase I really liked (about the way her truck is built - the leaving-a-foreign-car-in-pieces-without-sustaining-any-damage thing) was ruined by mixed tense. Only one chapter, and I'm already in pain. ~_~

I was going to thank you for posting the pdf so I could yoink it, but when I started reading I developed a need to MST it, or risk going insane. :P

I apologise for ever thinking it "couldn't be that bad", and believing that I had no room to speak because I read Holly Black. >>;

I keep hearing about this book. Vampire fantasy aimed at teeny boppers, right? I'm tempted to try it, just to see how very very awful it is.

I'm tempted. The way you can be tempted by crash dieting before remembering what a bad idea it is.

Someone on my flist has a picture of Mr. Darcy that says "Darcy Doesn't Sparkle." Which is what I thought of when I saw your sparkling Edward headline.

Every word that descibes Edward's beauty disturbs me.

My brother is called Edward... not the commonest name in the world. :\
