Dear assorted stores:

It is November 8th. Step AWAY from the Christmas music.

NON-SEASONS GREETINGS,

Yubsie

I'm playing Fallout. Not the shiny Fallout 3 that looks very cool and just came out. No, no, the ORIGINAL Fallout, which will actually run on my laptop. :P My poor processor just can't handle modern games. :p I could probably get a desktop that can handle more for a decent price. But that would involve having room for a DESK, which I don't. :p (Maybe when we move to Laura's townhouse in the summer :p) But the original Fallout is fun too!

Also, Tess sent me all her hair because she binned and removed extraneous ages from it all. Except... now I'm realizing I don't have a lot of the MESHES. Oops.

OMG, I've been seeing Christmas decorations since before Halloween, and on November 5th, I heard Christmas carols in the stores. AND there are Christmas commercials all over the tv. Can you smell the retail desperation? :|

Tess sent you . . . her hair? o.O

Extreme is a good word for it. And adding sims to that last part makes me very relieved. I was trying to think of a good RL reason for that, but it just wasn't working. :p

Bill ORLY, American Diarrhoea Impersonator, has already declared that durtee libruls like me are starting our War on Christmas™ already.

I have no doubt your post will be used as evidence of this :p

Mainly because he's GOT to have nothing left to do but browse LiveJournal :p

Our store started getting in Christmas stuff way before Halloween and the decorations and music went up the day after Halloween. I've had so many customers complain about it. :(

I went to the SuperStore to get some clearanced candy on Halloween, and they had already decorated the store with X-mas displays. It's pretty scary.

Though now it's the looming threat of X-mas Shopping growing ever closer.

It is November 8th. Step AWAY from the Christmas music.

I'm having this fight in my car!! The local radio station that transfers formats to completely Christmas has done so and my husband keeps tuning in when he's driving.

AHHHHH!!!! I was raised in a very strict "NO CHRISTMAS UNTIL THANKSGIVING(US, that is - fourth Thurs. in Nov.)" house.

Of course, we were so old fashioned that we put up the tree on Christmas Eve. After celebrating Advent - not the 12 days of Christmas which are AFTER the 25th. 25th - Epiphany, people - count the days: 12!

Sorry for hijacking here, but it's a thing.

I'm going to be trying really hard to curb my enthusiasm for at least a couple more weeks, since my housemates are considerably less keen on it than I am - aiming for beginning of December, but I may fold and start decorating sooner. I love decorating for Christmas, but even I am not so crazed as to be decorating just yet. I'm not even listening to the music yet. And I like my own Christmas music, because I have, like, awesome choral stuff and Amy Grant and Harry Connick, Jr. and a medieval consort and stuff like that, as opposed to the muzak-type versions of things you tend to hear in stores. ~_~

But for now, we still have the Hallowe'en decorations up, so I remain in pumpkin-and-spider mode. :P
