Please tell me SOMEONE noticed I was gone? Please?
Anyway, I had a fun time escaping The Bubble for a few days. My sister claims that my having friends over every night prevented her from getting homework done, but that's what she gets for making her study area the FAMILY ROOM. Ack, siblings. What can you do with them?
We introduced Vicki to the joys of Final Fantasy. She wasn't impressed with IV, because she'd been told to expect much better graphics. So I explained IV was made for SNES and pulled out the much more impressive IX. I, meanwhile, was being introduced to the joys of Fire Emblem. It's a really fun game, actually. I can't wait to play more. That, of course, will be somewhat difficult since it's Vicki's Gameboy and all. My sister got to read volume 4 of Pretear. I warned her that there was something extremely angsty and she managed to guess it. Kate still hasn't. :p
On Saturday, we went to the mall with Ryan. Joy of joys, the Pratchett drought is finally over! I was able to pick up Hogfather and Guards! Guards!. They also had Carpe Jugulum and Good Omens, but I only have so much money, and the convention is coming up, so I couldn't buy those. They WOULD get them all at once, eh? I also got the Ewok movies on DVD. I haven't watched them yet, because I wanted to wait for Silly Sammy Ewok, but we didn't get in touch with her in time. Ryan came to our house to dinner. He met my family and we're still dating, that's a good sign, right? My sister managed to make TOO much of a nuissance of herself, and Daddy was actually on good behaviour for a change.
Kate came over on Sunday after Vicki spammed her journal thoroughly in an attempt to get a phone call. We had a great Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy and silliness time. They both got introduced to Desperate Houswives. I must admit, I agree with Vicki. It's so sad that Bree gave her stupid husband a second chance. It was SUCH a cool scene when she said she was divorcing him. The only bad part is Kate got frostbite walking home too late. :((
Monday we went to Price Club, and Mom bought me some spiffy shirts. I started playing the Game of Life with BJ, Gwen and Vicki, but got distracted by Sammy calling. Of course, I was already distracted by sewing for my Relena costume. Sammy wound up coming over and watchign CSIness with us for a while. I got to watch random American Idol while I made frilly cuffs.
We got back this afternoon. We watched the third DIgimon movie subbed. It was on SO MUCH CRACK. We STILL can't figure our when it was supposed to be set, but we know it was MADE after the writers started taking drugs. We went downtown to try and find material for the collar on Relena's blazer. I wound up buying a skirt in the right colour to scavenge. Then we watched a random episode of Excel Saga (ALSO on SO MUCH CRACK, but a more enjoyable sort) and the next episode of Live Action Sailor Moon. That show has two extremes. Insanely cute and incredibly angsty. It switches between them at random. Artemis, incidently, is the sweetest little plushie EVER. He was taking care of Minako, it was ADORABLE. I've decided that I like the live action characters much more than the animated version (not that I dislike the animated versions) It was weird seeing the meal hall so deserted. We had SO MUCH PIZZA because there was so little line. THen we watched an episode of Lain (BRAIN EXPLODEY! But interesting.) and went to the gym. Because there was WAY too much junkfood in my house.
Oh, and Katrebs? When you said you were a harsh critiquer, you had me expecting MUCH worse than that. It was very helpful, yay! Hopefully I can finish with it soon, so it can get posted. (My Pretear ficlet, for those of you who are wondering :p)
