My country has apparently taken extended leave of their senses. Of course, it's yet ANOTHER minority government, so unless he actually sticks to that "fixed election dates" thing this time around...

At least the news people think that this pretty much means the end of Stephane Dion. Maybe if the Liberals get better leadership, they would manage to get power back.

As long as they don't replace him with Rae, anything has got to be an improvement for their prospects. :p Losing that many seats has a habit of ending someone's party leadership. :P

What really kills me is that, for the second time (at least; I wasn't really paying attention before) our SEPARATIST PARTY has come in THIRD in the polls. Right behind the official opposition. I mean, I know Quebec's big and all, but how are we even still able to call ourselves a country? This is ridiculous.

I was, however, highly amused that my riding became the single orange spot in the province - as one reporter put it, "the chink in the Tory blue armour that is Alberta." :P

Quebec has an ABSURD number of seats. Apparently if they won EVERY seat in Quebec and the other parties split just the right way with a not entirely impossible number of independants elected, the Bloc could end up in charge. :p
