Yes, this is a really odd badfic inspired pairing. I think it could be really fun though. They’re just so utterly different. It’s pretty easy to picture her falling for him, since his manga version is a very sexy man. Getting him to return any sort of feelings for her would take a great deal of work though. It has to be done slowly, because he currently loves himself, his computer and his tea. I can totally see her dancing around, babbling to him about romance and him playing a grand total of zero attention. Yayoi, being Yayoi, would simply assume he was playing hard to get and keep annoying him until he had no choice but to notice her. They’d definitely drive each other insane. Which makes for fun fic. :p

Yes, I know Rowling has killed this one. Thoroughly. That doesn’t change the fact that it could have been cute. They’re both so odd, it could have been really sweet. Neither of them is part of the Trio, but they’re both part of that cloud of people surrounding it. They’re also both rather outsiders in their own House. What could be better than weirdo love? Canon weirdo love, I suppose, but that was not to be. Maybe Neville is a little scared of her, but he could move past it, and it would be cute. Alas, no ship for me.

Carrot and Angua are such an absolutely adorable couple. I mean, what’s not to love about “Yes, we’re er”? I just want to hug them both when they’re together because they’re so d*mn cute! They are also the most FRUSTRATING couple in the world. She can’t seem to get through her head that he really does love her and won’t ever leave her. She doesn’t need to leave him just because she’s a werewolf. She needs to realize that he’s for real, so they can get married and have PUPPIES! Pratchett himself has said that it either has to go somewhere or end really soon. I’m hoping for go somewhere, so GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY OFP!

Clearly I was a dense child to not catch on to this when I first watched Power Rangers. Only when viewing it recently out of nostalgia did I notice how blatantly OBVIOUS this is. The way they’re always sticking together and looking out for each other in battle, the way she’s always the one who can explain exactly what he means, it all adds up to being very shippy. Of course, I wasn’t as shippy as a youngster as I am today. Now that I’ve seen the error of my ways, I think these two are absolutely adorable. It’s a real shame she left the series so early so nothing could really come of it.

Ah, you have to love those ships that are so utterly canon no one even really bothers with shipping them. There’s no denying that these two love each other. They’re really quite cute. There’s something wrong with thinking bickering couples with henpecked husbands are cute, but there you go. They’re such a sweet couple who have been through so much together, I love them so much! I want to write fic about them now. Because I need more plot bunnies. So cute! I don’t know, there’s just something so loveable about a couple that has been together for a long time, raised children and faced hardship and stayed together through it all.

Luke/Mara

I like this ship. I’ll always be fonder of Han/Leia, but I still like Luke/Mara. Though, in a lot of ways, it’s more that I like what Luke/Mara could have been, had the vile and evil New Jedi Order not screwed us over. Mara could have been really good for Luke. Let’s face it, he had gotten pretty boring to read with all the moping in later books. Mara was the kind of character who would have been able to snap him out of it and make him actually get out and DO things again. Or at least, that’s what should have happened. Except NJO!Mara would shift randomly from bitchy to clingy, never going to COOL, except in Allston’s hands. Of course, in Allston’s hands, she apparently HAD had a good effect on Luke, because he was actually enjoyable to read again.

Warrick/Catherine

I actually had a hard time thinking about what to say about this pairing. Geek that I am, I’m usually paying more attention to the case than the ship hints in CSI. That said, there’s really nothing AGAINST this ship, besides the standard coworker dating problems. So... yay for Warrick/Catherine. :p

Goh/Mawata

This is an odd pairing. Not much to support it, but not much to unsupport it either. They really only have one scene of interaction, period. It’s an odd little scene though. Mawata, being her angsty self, mostly just angsts while Goh is... Goh. She does give him an interesting look as she calls him an idiot though. Perhaps implying she thinks him a LOVEABLE idiot?

Rand/Harem

God, it’s been a long time since I’ve read WoT. I do know I had a hierarchy to Rand’s harem though. If the plot were to go towards him picking one (which it rather won’t, since he’s managed to marry all of them, IIRC), I wanted it to be Min. Because Min ROCKSAY OFF. Next choice would be Aviendha. Last would be Elayne, because I didn’t particularly like her. The other two are just way cooler. Of course, Rand being special, just gets the whole harem. :p

Ah, Sasame/Takako. The ship that changes everything. There’s really no doubt that he loves her. Not after sixteen years. And by the end, she realized that she loved him too. (Leading to the Stella joke, but whatever :p). Better late than never, I suppose. Though she would have done well NOT to wait until he was dead and all. Still, they’ve been given a second chance. This is one ship that should really be let be. Bad things happen when feelings aren’t properly expressed, and now they get to start over right. Sasame finally has Takako and doesn’t need anyone’s Mary Sue.

Nynaeve/Lan

D*mn it’s been a long time since I read WoT. :p Which is why there’s really not a lot I can say about this ship. It was pretty easy to see coming. Now they’re married. I think it says something that Nynaeve name got listed first up there. She hasn’t killed him while yanking her braid off yet, so that’s always a good loving sign. I seem to recall liking them as a couple, but I haven’t read WoT since shortly after Crossroads of Twilight came out. Which of course is because there hasn’t been anything new TO read, and I scarcely have time to read, much less re-read. So blame the short rant on Jordan’s slowness. Final decision: They’re not divorcing anytime soon.

AH! Someone else that hates NJO. I loathe it. I actually stopped reading it after Vector Prime because of a certain someone's death. As far as I'm concerned, the SW saga stopped with Spector of the Past and Vision of the Future.

Eeee, I love the Sasame/Takako drabble. You wouldn't believe how many Mary Sues try to sink their claws into Sasame. I think that's a sign for Takako to go back to being Fenrir momentarily and drain them of Leafe. She can save it up for the next time Sasame dives in front of a killer tree for her and we won't have to listen to the Himeno friendship rant when Takako gives up hope. Yay for Sue Leafe!
