If they're explanation of why Sounds of Silence is to be believed, they put songs on this list if they sounded "pretentious"; in other words, that would explain We Didn't Start the Fire, and The End (Doors).

Then again, they don't think that making a list like this is pretentious. Go figure.

Mm, I tend to find that Pratchett's, while amusing, still follows too many of the Death stereotypes, if you will, especially in terms of appearance. This is, of course, entirely a matter of opinion. :)
