$#*$*)#@$*#@)($*#)($* FIRE ALARM
Jan. 23rd, 2005 11:52 pmSo, as some of you may know, we have a bit of a raging blizzard going on here, to the point that classes are already cancelled.
Our FIRE ALARM went off. We rather sensibly assumed it was a drill, and grumbled as we headed outside about people not looking out the window. We got outside, in the snow and wind (some people had been in friends' rooms and didn't even have their jackets), only to be informed that it was NOT a drill. This sucked, as it meant we had to wait outside for the firedepartment to check the whole house. Fortunately, the dons of Harper let us go hang out in their lounge while we waited to be allowed back. When we finally got back in, Maritza repeatedly informed us it was not a drill and that anyone who swore at their monitor should take it back.
So, if someone PULLED the alarm, they are now on the entire house's hit list. If it was a malfunction... we're still mad. Because it was a BLOODY BLIZZARD AND WE HAD TO GO OUT IN IT!
