Lawl, during break at choir the other night a couple of us struck up a randomly awesome Scrödinger's Cat reference (to illustrate SOMETHING and I can't remember what anymore ;_;) and nobody else got it.

Well, we didn't refer to it as such, but it was sort of a "then the cat is simultaneously alive and dead if [thus-and-so that I can't remember ;_; WHY??]!" and some people went "bwuh?" and we had to try and explain, but we didn't have time before break was over. :P Actually, I think we did say Schrödinger's Cat specifically when explaining, so that is weird. I really thought everybody past high school knew, but apparently not.

That's still so... it's Schroedinger's cat for goodness sake. There are multiple jokes about it in Discworld! It's not an obscure idea :p

Oh, it's absolutely FANTASTIC. It includes such moments as Death's manservant trying to explain Schroedinger's Cat and Death being all THE CAT IS ALIVE. When told that we can't KNOW until we look, Death replies WHAT KIND OF WORLD WOULD IT BE IF I HAD TO LOOK TO SEE IF SOMETHING WAS DEAD OR NOT. He then took the cat OUT of the box and declared I DON'T HOLD WITH CRUELTY TO CATS.
