So, I'm reading an Aliaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas fic. Solely because it's set in Sacvkille.

Yes. THAT Sackville. The one in NB. In which Jack and Syd are Mount A profs, but Syd currently has no memory of the last five years. In which she married Vaughn and they had a kid. Oh, and Vaughn teaches grade five... which for some reason is at a middle school. And his schedule bears no resemblance to grade five in District Two. :p

Oh, and Syd lost her memories by falling off the Swan Pond bridge. For those of you not from Sackville and therefore not already laughing at this, I have a picture to illustrate the problem.

I'm standing on the RAILING of the bridge. You can't just fall off that bridge! And even if you did, it's just not that far a drop. Though there's rocks. :p

Oh, and this fic is EPICALLY LONG. I've only made it through three chapters. The nostalgia only takes you so far. :p

Oh my gosh. There's so much wrong with even just the first scene. I mean, aside from the obvious awkwardness of prose,

a) I didn't know she was even standing up until Vaughn told her to sit down
b) There's an implication that he fired a gun underwater, and we know what happens when guns get wet, yes? And even if it managed to fire, the bones in his hand would have been pulverised by the confined vibrations unless it were specially made to be fired underwater, which, FBI(CIA? whatever Secret Service they're in, I forget) or no, I really doubt.
c) How did "almost four years" become "over two years"? :P

Yikes. I mean, I had to investigate, but I don't know if I can take an epic in this vein.

O_o

Yeah, really. XD

I didn't get to the Christians bit, having stopped at the first set of asterisks. I'll probably end up keeping on reading, just from sheer train-wreck fascination. *_*

That is so beyond bizarre.

It's not bad writing though.

Definitely.

I was looking at the author's info and apparently she has a BA in English and is our age. Which means she could have been someone from our year, since I'm going to take a wild guess and say that she probably went to Mount A.

Of course, the profile info could be out of date, but she's still probably a recent grad.

I don't remember anyone named Andi though, but who knows if that's her real name.

Well, considering the person sitting next to me in Advanced Shakespeare was Lily, we could always ask her XD

O-kay. I've been to Sackville NB what? Twice in my life? Yet I can still tell you exactly what is wrong with that idea.

In the picture you look like you're going to descend and devour our souls. I'm keeping a copy to scar your future children with, BTW.
