Got my wireless working. I may have kinda sorta maybe had a typo in the network key. :p Stupid nonsensical alphanumeric strings. And the lack of error message if I get it wrong. :p
EDIT:
I suppose I should talk about my day now that I have internets. :p
I finally met my supervisor this morning, which was great. I got the tour of the department, which means... I still don't know most of their names. :p I met two of the other students from my lab, the rest are away for various reasons. Most of the important services (NMR, chem stores, mass spec, crystallography [*pause to enjoy there being an IN HOUSE crystallographer*], electronics shop) are in the basement. Our lab is on the third floor. Which translates to six flights of stairs. Yeah, the building is on a hill. :p
I have an idea of what classes I should be taking, I just need to make my final decision and get my supervisor to sign off on that. I also have a bunch of reading to do to figure out what sort of project I want to do. I'm going to be doing standard preps of starting materials at first so I can get some experience working in an inert atmosphere since everything in my undergrad was benchtop.
I had to get NMR training today. The machines are the same brand as I used at Mount A, so the only new thing was dealing with the robot (WHICH IS SO FREAKING COOL!!). I actually knew where to find things that the person training us couldn't. :p I also signed up for exciting things like safety training. :p
And of course, I got lost on campus/in the building roughly three times. But I did discover that the bus goes really close to the chem building!
