Jan. 4th, 2005 09:28 amWell, I'm back in the bubble now. On the plus side, I did have five Christmas cards waiting when I got back. Mi drew a picture in hers. Hannah and Bri know me so well, their cards were SPARKLY! Even more exciting, Hannah finally admitted that ShinShin is not slashy. :p Oba's card was lovely and Atty said that she doesn't think I'm sadistic. I like getting mail. :p
Books for this semester came to just under $200. It would have been more, but Vicki is a wonderful, fabulous, SPLENDIFEROUS person and is lending me the book I need for Hero's Quest. I got my German lab switched to 2:30, so I'm good to go now.
I'm not sure how it happened, but I had the absolutely ODDEST dream the other night.
In the beginning, I dreamed we were having a celebration of some kind. Everyone we knew was there, and musicians too.
No real reason for the cut other than I felt like making that lame joke there. :p
Anyway, for some reason I had a dream about exams the night before my first day of classes. Why? I don't know. At the beginning of the dream, I was studying from what claimed to be a chemistry textbook. Now, the actual contents of the book really didn't have a lot to do with chemistry, but nonetheless, it was a chem book. So, I get to the exam, which says GERMAN on it. Oddly though, the questions are about the material in the purported chem book. So, I realize that I didn't bring any sort of writing utensil to my seat with me. Fortunately, there is a random pencil just lying on the ground, so I pick it up. Unfortunately, it's a really lousy pencil. So I raise my hand to get the attention of the invigilator, who is... my grade twelve homeroom teacher? Dream me doesn't see anything odd about this, but I sure do. Anyway, I ask said teacher to go to the front of the room and bring me a better pencil from my backpack, because apparently I brought all the necessary supplies WITH me, I just didn't take them out. She does so, because apparently dream invigilators see nothing odd about rifling through students' stuff. Unfortunately, the mechanical pencil she brings me is a major dud. The leads just keep falling out, no matter what I do. So I just buckle down and use the crummy floor pencil, even though it's really scratchy. The exam turns out to be a combination of multiple choice and fill in the blank. As in, there are blanks within the multiple choice questions and the multiple choice ANSWERS that must be filled in.
You'll all be happy to know that that was when my alarm went off.
