So yeah, with the sewing machine not so much with the working, I think I'll just wear one of my old costumes to Animaritime this year. Which leaves me with a decision.

[Poll #932207]

Katikabe, do you perchance know when Ash Wednesday Mass is today?

If the machine is jamming on the presser foot but not by hand, that means that either the fabric is too thick, or that there is a jam with the bobbin. Pull the whole under area out (move the black bits right around the bobbin) and put it all back together. It might not like you at first, but just keep taking things out and wiggling them and you should get it to work.

Hrm, that never happened to me. Are you sure the cord from the peddle to the machine is plugged in securely? Other than that, I'm not sure I know what is wrong D:

And because I am a masochist, I say try to finish by hand (what's the costume?), by which I actually mean, use the wheel (you did say the hand wheel still works, right?) because it's probably faster than actual hand sewing. Unless you're über fast at hand-sewing.

I voted for River, but I'm partial to Serenity/FireFly characters. *loves* *thinks they should bring the show back*

^_^

I am going through slightly the same problem as you. I have my thread...but no machne to make my Syaoran cloak with. Since my handsewing skills are slightly LESS subpar than my machine skills, im gonna hafta make a change. Most likely, ill be just weraing my cargos, my green shirt (sleeves rolled into the shoulders), and a bit of gel to make the hair look better.

I voted River, for the ass-kicking dress. I think there's a browncoat running around on Saturday, so you'll fit right in. :)
