Okay, first things first, I'm trying to figure out why my sewing machine is being a pain. I was sewing along fine and then all of a sudden the needled decided it didn't want to move anymore. The hand wheel moves it fine, but the pedal will make maybe one stitch before conking out on me. This is somewhat problematic seeing as the convention looms. :p

Obviously this means that I'm back in Sackville, much to Vicki's dismay. :p I dumped my bag home and then went right in to campus to get a paper from Dr Grant, send in my computational assignment and work on my thesis. Then I nipped to Save Easy to pick up a fruit tray for Dr Duffy's birthday potluck. Which, much like any event with my chem friends was a blast.

Check tension and bobbin (I just fiddle with them untill they're different and it works ^_^). Occasionally replacing thread will help with this, also sometimes starting at a different spot will help. Same with burnt offerings to the sewing gods =P

I've fiddled with the tension and the bobbin, tried a completely different piece of fabric, poked things and prodded things. Even without the thread, the needle refuses to move.

Have yet to try a burnt offering though. :p
