Okay, there is like NO ONE here. Why can't I get on to Scifinder? :p It's more than a little insane. :p

The reason there's like no one here is that we stayed at the bar in Moncton until like ten last night. Which was great fun. I found out my supervisor likes Firefly and now I'm supposed to figure out who his favorite character is by Monday. :p I'm suspecting he's PROBABLY a Jayne fan. :p

Of course, that only explains why the people who are missing from OUR lab are missing. Doesn't explain the absence of ALL THE OTHER GROUPS. Is there some sort of holiday no one mentioned? Did we miss a memo?

My printer spontaneously fixed itself! :D I'd be confused, except it spontaneously BROKE itself in the first place. One day I sat down at the computer and it was all "Unknown USB device". I was staring at the computer muttering "It's a PRINTER. You knew that yesterday!". Today it was suddenly all "New Hardware detected! Samsung ML 1450... Your new hardware is now installed." NOw, it's not new, but I don't care, because I have a working printer again! So I was able to print my thesis to edit it, because the next hand in date is looming big time.

And, if the music didn't give it away, I found my headphones. Well, my backups... I think my little ones must be in Duffy's trunk.

Also, half the boys still aren't here. They must be SERIOUSLY hungover. ANd I swear, half the other labs just didn't come back from lunch. :p

Bah, stupid NMR machine not shimming. Don't know why it happened, but it did.

My coworkers are having an insane day. They keep looking at me funny when I say they're crazy. I mean, I should know crazy when I see it! I know EXACTLY where the deep end is because I've been chilling off it for years! :p

But yeah, those of us who are actually HERE are too busy laughing hysterically to be productive. I was actually doing decently in the productivity department, though the NMR not working for me put a bit of a cramp in that. I did some editing on teh thesis (WOW I write some ugly sentences, incidently :p) and ran a melting point and put on another isolation attempt. Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow to filter that, shouldn't take too long after all.
