Mar. 12th, 2006 06:47 pmSo, I quite literally spent the morning slaving in the kitchen. I got home from church and went to work on Vicki's birthday. I made chocolate cupcakes and then washed the dishes. The cupcakes came out of the oven and I went to work on a devil's food cake. Then I... washed the dishes! Then I got to make a big batch of icing and say "SCREW THE DISHES!" :p
I wish I'd put the butter out last night, because it was really hard to mix by hand at first. :p Cocoa is evil to measure. Icing sugar is messy stuff. Also, by the eighth cup of sugar, icing gets very hard to mix. :p
I've decided that my next sewing project should be an apron. Because WOW, my clothes are a mess. :p
Sam and Doug came over to watch Rent. I did homework and enjoyed the general Rentness. I never get tired of how absolutely ADORABLE Angel/Collins is, I really don't. Doug, bless his heart, is a little slow. In the middle of "I'll Cover You", while Sam and I were "Aww"ing, he was all "Wait, does this mean he's gay?" Though I suppose it could have been worse. He could have been watching the broadway version, with the "I like boys" line and STILL not gotten it. :p
Vicki really liked her birthday present, a card game about the French Revolution called Guillotine. The idea is that all the players are rival guillotine operators trying to behead the highest profile nobles for bragging rights in the guillotine operators' locker room. It's really fun, and will doubtlessly be even BETTER with more people. (And yes, if you think this means you, you're probably right :p) We had quite the battle over Marie Antoinette. :p
For Vicki's birthday dinner, we had canneloni and drank chocolate milk from wine glasses. Classy, eh? Then we had the devil's food cake with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles. Remember, chocolate milk. SO MUCH CHOCOLATE!
Now I have to write my stupid kinetics paper that I have no clue what I'm doing with.
