Oct. 17th, 2005 11:38 amI am currently eating a roast beef and chocolate icing sandwich. This was not my initial plan, in case any of you are wondering if I've finally COMPLETELY lost it. I just happen to be a total clutz. I was bringing my lunch over to my desk when I dropped the sandwich and cake. I caught them, but they still made contact and there was definite icing transfer. :p
We have cake because we are geeks. Yesterday was Shin's birthday. OBVIOUSLY he needed a cake. We even had candles and party hats. We propped up his profile in the manga on the table so we would have something to sing to. Vicki and I demonstrated that between the two of us, we are perfectly capable of blowing out six candles. So Shin gets his wish. Which we assume was "To get better!", thereby explaining the ending of the manga. :p
For the record, it's a d*mn good cake. Despite my only succeeding on separating three out of four eggs. :p Also, it's REALLY obvious that my copy of The Joy of Cooking is really old. It assumes all the readers are female and keeps talking about how "Every housewife should be able to..." This led to us concluding Bree probably has the same edition of the book I do. :p
This weekend, I totally failed at getting up. I was going to go to the lab on Saturday morning, but I woke up with a bit of a headache, so I decided to go back to sleep. Then on Sunday I honestly tried to get up for church, but I fell asleep when I sat down on the bed to get changed. When I woke back up, it was 9:30, so that didn't work particularly well. :p
In G&G, we did "It's Girly Time!" (aka "Many a New Day") on Saturday, which was a bit tricky but I was starting to get it by the end. Which is good, because I have to show it to Sammy before Classics today. :p On Sunday, we did "The Farmer and the Cowman", which is fun because we get to do-si-do. The little girls have an absolutely ADORABLE dance in it. :p
