So, today's discovery: Apparently, the optometry clinic is only open on Thursdays and Fridays. Which I should have guessed, since it's actually my optometrist from back home, but I didn't think about it. I discovered this by walking all the way down their in the sweltering heat while wearing jeans. I was less than thrilled.

I'm trying to decide which is worse. The fact that everything is focusing strangely because my glasses are crooked or the fact that I'm NOTICING THE FRAMES. Usually the frames just kinda go away because, well, they're always there. But now they're not in their usual part of my field of vision and I SEE THEM! On the other hand, feeling all cross eyed is a PAIN. :p

I was never able to cross my eyes....i never knew why.

I can't cross them conciously, but they definitely cross when I try to see without proper glasses. :p

See at that stage of deadness is where I gave up and just didn't wear my glasses. It made for a fun world, but was an interesting experiment ^_~

NOt really an option. I need some sort of glasses in the lab, and my eyes have gotten to the point of not being able to read without my glasses. :p

I can read sans glasses, my nose has to be < 5 inches from the text, but I can read =P

Getting that close to a computer screen for hours at a time would be not so much with the pleasant. :p

I keep having to explain that for a change, I'm NOT falling asleep, I'm just focused all wrong. :p (Do not confuse glassy crossed eyes with sleep. Sleep involves CLOSED eyes. :p)

I share your pain. I've had horrid eyesight all my life, without my glasses I'm practically blind. And I know perfectly what you're talking about when they're not where they're supposed to sit on your face so you keep noticing them...gah. So irritating.

...Its funny, though, one morning by accident we discovered that my boyfriend and I could wear each other's glasses with not too much of a problem XD Completely random, but I just remembered that, haha

There's just that spot that stops existing because it's the frame spot. And then they're not there, they're in a spot that DOES exist. And, just for good measure, part of the area that is usually fine for seeing is now all blurry because the lenses aren't there anymore. It's kinda "Nope, not falling asleep, just focused all wrong, I swear!" :p

Heh, that's special. :p
