Let's see, Vicki and I watched What Dreams May Come on Saturday night, while having chocolate fondue. That movie... Tess ship. So Tess ship. Except it works out decently in the end, unlike most TEss ships. :p Vicki must be feeling brave. She gave me a big bag of chocolate kisses for my birthday. And a stuffed kiss, which is very cute. :p

Sunday I totally slept through church. Figured I would though. :p I played the Sims a bunch. Hajime and Mannen's rooms are redecorated now. Hajime has an ocean room, and Mannen gets castles and dragons. Shin gets some plants. :p

Ryan called, which is always fun. :D

Vicki and I watched Firefly. I read Fables, because I've seen the first two episodes twice before, but I was still in the room to appreciate the shiny. OMG HEART FABLES, incidently. :D It's SO COOL! It totallly had me going "DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?" at one point, which is always exciting.

Started work today. Steve's letting us pick our own projects this year, which is neat. The one I'm doing is based on the WTF product from a couple years back. It's the most bioactive compound the lab has ever made, and it was totally not what they were TRYING to make at the time.

And before my chemistry talk makes you all stop reading...

I'm not a grad student, I'm doing a BSc with Honours. Hence doing research for a thesis. The nice thing about going to a small primarily undergraduate school is that the profs have to use their undergrads like grad students if they want to get things done. I worked for the same professor last year, when I had only finished second year.

O. ^_^'> I've never heard of an undergrad thesis before. So you've just finished your third year... I think maybe I knew that and then forgot because the thesis thing confused me. We're in the same year. :P

I'm not sure how common it is in music programs. I know most BA students don't write one, mostly because grad schools aren't as fussy about whether you have your Honours or not for Arts. It's basically expected for science students to have their Honours so they'll have some sort of research experience. The research is fun, even if the thesis itself is scary. :p

Coool. My brother didn't do a thesis for his undergrad, but he was in mechanical engineering, and did the Co-op program, so he got work experience rather than research experience... interesting.

Yeah, Co-op programs might change things a bit, I imagine. It would also get the all important rec letter. :p

I suppose it would. I always wished there were such a thing (co-op program, that is) for musicians, but we must be content with whatever gigs may come our way. *sigh*
