7. This is a difficult question and I may not be answering what you meant to ask. I don't really get involved much with fandoms; I just do the being a fangirl by myself with maybe a few friends thing. I find so many parts of so many fandoms are objectionable. For instance, you can't try to read GW fanfic without tripping over yaoi (which I don't always mind if it's done well, but most of it isn't), but there's some really good stuff out there. In every fandom, people will latch on to aspects of stuff they think is cool that I think is beside the point or poorly understood. But I think that I will say, Dragon Ball(/Z). Despite the vast majority of the fandom being composed of power-crazy fanboys, there is enough genuine awesome in the series that some really amazing fan work has come out of it.

6. That's my roommate. She used to play the french horn. She mentioned it when she was threatening to abandon the chorus for the pit band because their french horn player quit. :p

7. Oh, Gundam Wing. It's really not fun to be a Duo fan if you don't like 1x2. At all. (I'm one of those crazy people who has a HET ship in GW. :p)

People who complain about fangirls have NEVER had to deal with fandoms with a lot of fanBOYS. :p

You know, I found out that Heero/Relena makes way more sense if you don't watch it dubbed. :P And yeah, Duo/Hilde is cute. ^_^ I actually found myself extrapolating all manner of het pairings watching that show - some admittedly verging on crack, but I maintain that Dorothy/Quatre could work. ^_^'> I suspect it may have been sheer defiance of all the slashers that caused me to consider that one, and a few others, but hush. :P

It was bad enough when I started shipping Duo/Hilde, because I KNEW what the fandom was like. Then I noticed that "Hey, Heero/Relena is kinda cute too..." Shippiness suicide, I tell you! :p

Hey, if the boys can be slashed six ways from Sunday, why can't het pairings be equally crack? :p

I'm, as a rule, an absolutely hopeless genficcer. However, I won't deny that when it comes to the Good Omens fandom? It's definitely partially motivated by a strange need to be difficult. :p

Genfic is basically anything that isn't romance. Anything from cute family fluff to character introspective to action/adventure. It's great fun! :D

It's a fun thing to write. Because there are five zillion things you can do that aren't romance! And about as many kinds of RELATIONSHIPS that aren't romantic. :p

Exactly. I tend to assume platonic unless it's blatant or I'm in defensive mode (like with GW ^_^v).

I love platonic relationships. Brothers in arms? Yeah, more likely to look at them as brothers than lovers. :p
