Seconding that. I mean, if Jack hadn't pulled that stunt at the end, I could see maybe? But with just Gwen, and her with a baby... I just don't see it.
Yeah, I definitely don't see it working...unless somehow the Doctor manages to convince Jack to go back, which is possible. Even then, you now have three holes to fill.
Hopefully they have enough of a time jump for Gwen to have the baby and have time off and stuff. She and Rhys both deserve a bit of a break.
Why oh why didn't they do a transitional season instead of needing to replace everyone at once. (Heh, the Doctor could well tell Jack that running away won't fix anything)
They do. I suspect there might be a time jump if only because they can't really start filming until Eve Myles has HER baby. :p
I was going to say, it'd be cool if it was about Rose's AU Torchwood, like, her and Pete and Mickey and shit, but then I remembered they have lame-o DOCTOR DONNA or whatever with them now and I would rather be shot of that whole saga.
Eh. I look forward to seeing how they make it work, whatever they do. But I refuse to get as emotionally invested as I ended up halfway through this season ONLY FOR THEM TO RIP MY HEART TO PIECES. :(
Clearly we need Rose's AU Torchwood BEFORE the series four finale. :p
I think it would have worked a little better if they'd done a transitional season where they introduced Tosh and Owen's replacements and let the fans adjust to them BEFORE killing Ianto, destroying the Hub and sending Jack away. There is only so much you can do at once and still be the same SHOW.
