Got a 93 on my essay (WOW Dr Usselman marks fast :p). It pays to be a scientist who knows how to structure a proper paragraph. :p I totally have my parents to thank for always emphasizing that scientists REALLY need to know how to write clearly. :p

People have started to get their invitations, it makes me happy. :D

Is this really all I have to say? Wow, my life is dull. :p Oh, we had a party yesterday to celebrate Yun's thesis defense, that was fun. Though of course we wound up talking chemistry, much to the confusion of the assorted significant others. :p

We took some glassware to be repaired today. Glassblowing is SO COOL! It's really amazing what they can do. We arrived in the middle of a lesson, which the student declared to be "art day", and it was so neat!

I suspect the resulting confusion of assorted significant others was only a further attraction of continuing to talk chemistry. :p

You know, over in the Census forum's social thread at the JC, someone teased Idri, who's Canadian, by saying something about all Canadians being boring. I read that and thought, "The only Canadians I know (aside from Idri) are Yubsie and Tess. In my small experience, it looks to me like Canada is the most interesting - if occasionally confusing - country on the planet." I'd half expect the air there to be full of rainbows and songs about lumberjacks. :p

Edit: One of my great-grandfathers was Canadian. I forget which part he was from, though. I wonder where my mother keeps the family records. :p

Yeah, my invitation arrived a few days ago. Will send the completely useless RSVP tonight, if I remember to take it with me when I go to work.
