It's OVER! :(
Jan. 30th, 2005 04:34 pmThe show went really, really well. The tech crew decided that the Copa was always too empty, and started making cameos. It would have been nicer if they didn't steal my glasses, but it's all good. Last night, they also went onstage and made palm trees dance. The poor Copa Girls could barely stop laughing to make their entrance.
Last night, my requisite sketchy waitress moment happened off stage. It was a real doozy too. Steve, who played Sam, the owner of the Copa, backed into me when I had a tray of five drinks. I managed to catch them all, much to his amazement. He said that if it had happened on stage he would have just yelled "YOu idiot! Clean that up!" He couldn't fire me though, because he had already gone around to everyone saying "I'm sorry, but after tonight you're fired. I'm closing the club." Everyone except Johanna, because we all know why Gladys is still working there in the first place. Of course, at tear down he made a general announcement. :p
Highlight of the cast party (other than the group sway):
Beth: I want to marry you.
Mark: If I swung that way, I would.
Beth: I want you exactly the way you are.
Mark: Well THAT'S awkward.
We're totally going to miss Mark SO MUCH. Because... he's MARK.
At tear down, we just kept coming up with reasons not to leave. Someone commented we were acting like we were all being shipped off to different countries. It's just so weird that I won't be seeing these people constantly anymore.
When asked what we were going to do with ourselves now, the entire cast chorused "SCHOOLWORK!" I TOTALLY have a paper due Friday. I'm not QUITE as behind as the others, since I had to keep up for the two midterms before the show started.
Thus, I received the "Most Likely to be Studying" award. :p
GONNA MISS THAT SHOW! :(
But I loved doing it.
