So, Good Friday mass at a church that normally has five masses? Is quite something. The place was PACKED. THey also had these TINY kids serving. I felt bad for them when they had to hold the cross during the veneration, that thing must have been getting HEAVY.

It's my poor sister's birthday today. What a bad day to have your birthday on. "Happy birthday! We got you dietary restrictions!" :p I called her and she bragged about getting to see Spamalot, Wicked, Avenue Q and Phantom of the Opera. And then informed me I was jealous as if I couldn't figure it out on my own. :p

How is she seeing all those musicals?

And HA. No cake for HER.

Yeah, but she saw Spamalot with Clay Aiken as Sir Robin. He looks like a kid. :P

Also, I knew there had to be a reason why I decided to play Jesus Christ Superstar in the car the other day! Whoops. :P

Oh gosh. Whenever I saw those advertisements, I was all 'But- but- David Hyde Pierce!' and facepalmed. :p

Yep. I'm just awesome like that. :P

Haha, well you do have a point there. :P I'm just scared of any guy being in Spamalot who apparently asked who Monty Python the guy is.

I just had the same experience (re: packed church). They didn't even do a veneration (individuals coming up like for Communion. They did that after Mass) and the Mass still ran 1h45

Have spent the day listening to Jesucristo Superstar =P Brilliance.
I especially love the bits that make me think fo the Doctor Who Theme =P

"Happy birthday! We got you dietary restrictions!"

XD

Our Good Friday service was also packed, though there were two of them - otherwise the poor little chapel would have exploded. Fortunately, since it is so small, the veneration of the cross didn't actually take all that long, and they had an extra priest come out and distribute the Eucharist to those of us who were standing outside at the back because we couldn't fit into the chapel proper/had small children that like to make noise and run around. :P
