This song rawks. :D "Will you still need me when I'm 42?" And all the picatures! Lovelovelove! I am especially fond of the Mario/Peach cakes. And all the Stormtroopers! XD
It makes me so happy. We'd considered "Geeks in Love" by Lemon Demon, but it was going to be too hard to dance to for a first dance. So we were going to use "Married" from Cabaret. But this song is PERFECT!
If you can get away with it, absolutely go for this as a first dance. It's beautiful.
The only nods to our geek status were the Superman lapel pin he wore to compliment my Bat-Man symbol necklace and the little Han & Leah he had on his groom's 'cake.'
Our reception is actually having a bit of an "Endor Celebration" theme, with Ewoks on the cake, little treehouse centrepieces, forest decor and possibly fake campfires by the dance floor. :p Which all started because I couldn't picture dancing with my dad to a lot of the usual father/daughter songs, so we decided "Yub Nub" was more appropriate. :p My brother is all excited to get to make spears. :p
We don't dance, so it was pretty dull at our reception. Actually it was pretty quiet - my husband had make a special mix for ambient music, but we forgot to turn it on! ;p
Somehow I missed this entry when you first posted it. Then I ventured into a comic book store last week (for the first time since I was probably fourteen) because Traci got me completely hooked on Legacy, and Mandy and I were quite delighted with all the geek shirts and accessories they had, and Mandy mentioned this song. I said, "What?" Mandy said, "You didn't watch Yubsie's video????" and sent me the link and said I HAD to watch it.
She was right. It made me all wibbly. Best first dance ever. :D I hope someday I'm lucky enough to find a matching geek, too. *wistful*

I know almost all of those people. :-P
That was William and Nicky's wedding a few years back. William, even though he's like 5'5, is one of our local Darth Vaders (on stilts!)
