It does the same thing with composers and some musical terminology (not to mention MY NAME. My last name is Supeene. It always suggests "Supine" as an alternative. I AM NOT LYING ON MY BACK. THANK YOU). When writing papers of any great length, I turn the bloody thing off. I was so proud of myself the first time I did a point-form analysis paper for music theory and went in and figured out how to disable all the auto-formatting and auto-corrects and red and green squigglies. I felt I had conquered something.

Word processing shouldn't feel like war. :P

You probably have an interesting customized dictionary, like mine, which includes the words Cybertron, Energon, and transparasteel as proper words. :P

Thank Microsoft you can customize the thing. Word is weirdly user-friendly, actually...

Incidentally, when I was skimming past your list, I accidentally read Pinacol as Pinacolatate. Not sure how.
