Aug. 20th, 2006 06:23 pmSo, I am now officially on vacation. Friday we went to Duffy's for a BBQ, which was great fun. The entire department came, even Dr. Barclay and his group, who don't usually come out to social events. Naturally soccer ensued. The highlight had to be Dr. Ghandi hitting Dr. Briand in the face with the ball... and then proceeding to kick the rebound into the goal.
Tessie and I have managed like FIVE PARAGRAPHS of our collaborative fic, aren't you all proud? :p
I've been playing lots of Exile lately, which is a blast. Though I must say I really hate enemy magic users. Which is problematic when the dungeon is a temple. :p Poor Wash is now my lowest level character. Once Book learned Flamestrike, he started actually manage to level up. Of course, River puts everyone to SHAME. She's level 27, while poor Wash is level 19. Right now the one who really needs to level up is Simon though, because he needs to learn enough about alchemy to make Graymold Salve to cure someone for a quest. :p
There was a thunderstorm this morning. What's with all the early morning storms this summer? It let up a little bit by the time I needed to get up. Which is good, since I was NOT going to church if it was bucketing that badly. It was still a pretty bad downpour though. There should be a rule against singing hymns with lines like "And as the dark clouds bring rain we enjoy" in such weather. :p
Going other-home for a few days tomorrow... if my mother ever gets back to me anyway. :p
