What I love about Gatchaman is how over the top it is. The animation is great, and the characters expressions are overly dramatic at ALL TIMES. Everybody broods! And when something happens, it's the most tramautic thing of all time ....... until the next week's episode. Tatsunoko's idea was to make a more realistic, violent anime with it, but it's still quite cheesy. There's supposedly an overall story, but it takes like 150+ episodes to get to it though 0_0
And of course, they're main villan Berge Katse is just a messed up pile of wrongness. He-She's got issues.
