It was... wow. Just... wow. Amazing.
And a hell of a lot happier than I expected. We were filling out our death pool predictions. And we were all SO WRONG. Because we were all rather pessimistic. It... didn't break me.
I got a little teary eyed when Laura died and the "... oh." look on Bill's face and then he gave her the ring. Of course, then the jackass commentator in the commercial break kinda spoiled the mood and stopped my tears. :p I also got a little teary eyed at the end when Bill was talking to Laura's grave. But... I don't hate Tess. Because we had been figuring on Bill ending up in sickbay with an X on his forehead once Laura was doing triage. So all things considered, it was a much happier outcome than I expected.
And OH MY GOD the Opera House sequence. That worked SO WELL. They really pulled it off, it was AMAZING.
And Kara finally makes sense. Not exactly the explanation I saw coming, but oh how it works.
And Lee... Lee... Lee.
And then the time jump. Oh wow.
And hey, something GOOD actually came of "All Along the Watchtower". :p
What an amazing ending. They really did pull it all together. I was starting to worry, I confess, when they were still holding everything back, but it did all come together.
